FIEB Foundation's mission is to help scientists around the globe to develop state of the art research on Ethology and Biodiversity
Situated on 8 ha, about 20 km south of Madrid and 35km from the city center, FIEBs Center for Research in Ethology and Biodiversity provides a setting for studying mammals, reptiles and birds under natural or seminatural conditions with more than 300 cages of 50 different types. The center has facilities for breeding and keeping animals indoors so that field and laboratory observations can be conducted in parallel. It also supports a breeding program for endangered species and other wild fauna.
Equipment and facilities are available for descriptive and analytical research under both field and laboratory conditions.
FIEB collaborate with some of the most relevant research instituitions is Spain and is starting negotiations with international research institutions in order to establish a network devoted to ethology and biodiversity, with the objective of develop collaborative projects during the next years.
